Terracotta Parade (2012)
Figurines and clay background tiles installed at Holden Village, near Chelan, Washington

Display case installation
These figurines were made by many different participants during the summer of 2012 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Holden Village. Each week the village held a parade, after which we sculpted figurines based on photos of people in the parade.

Detail showing the Wenatchee Mariachi band riding in the back of a truck.

Jugglers, stilt walkers, drummers, giant puppeteers and the kids of Narnia appear in this detail image.

All ages and abilities sculpted figurines for the Terracotta Parade.

Drummers line up for a return trip at one of the real life parades. In addition to commemorating the parade in clay, I was also one of the parade organizers, building giant puppets and teaching stilt walking.
