The Stinting Machine (2010)

Part of my MFA thesis show at California College of the Arts, San Francisco, California.

The vending machine was designed to drop and break handmade ceramic globes if they were purchased.

Globes were made by participants at events held in Washington, Oregon, and California.

Consumers who broke their globes could purchase a "Kintsugi Repair Kit" from the vending machine to try to fix the damage.
